Medical Staff Coordinator

 

In this administrative role, the successful candidate will be relied on to coordinate medical staff activities, perform secretarial and appropriate executive functions, and act as a liaison between the medical staff, nursing staff and administration.

 

We are in search of a candidate possessing 2 years of college or specialized training in the provision of medical staff services, preferably with 3-5 years experience as a Medical Staff Coordinator in a medium to large size medical center. Experience working with medical staff leaders in carrying out functions of departments/committees is essential, as is knowledge of medical staff credentialing, recording and preparation of meeting minutes, JCAHO and Title XXII and the CMA. CPMSM or CPCS preferred. Must be PC proficient and skilled in word processing and shorthand/speedwriting. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
