Nutrition Consultant

A large government facility in Livermore is seeking a part-time, contract Nutrition Consultant. The successful candidate will work in the Benefits & Health Services Department supporting the  Life Design Center, Health Promotion, and Wellness Programs.  The Nutrition Consultant will support the development, coordination, and delivery of nutrition expertise, within a worksite health education/wellness program environment.  This includes basic administrative support to the Salud Health Wellness Programs Specialist.  Other administrative duties will include conducting health risk assessments and data entry, client appointment setting and follow-up, client file documentation, metrics reporting, and satisfaction survey tracking and reporting. The Nutrition Consultant will also provide dietary analysis and one-on-one counseling to employees, and assist company personnel in establishing nutrition/health related goals. 

 

Required Skills:

*  Minimum of a bachelor's degree in nutrition science or related/equivalent fields.

*  Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD)

*  Ability to research new program requirements, establish metrics, and analyze data.

*  Willingness to take ownership and initiative over job assignments/work activities.

*  Excellent interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Desired Skills:

*  Personal Training and/or Fitness Instructor certification.
