Occupational Therapist

- Evaluates and treats patients referred by a physician.
- May help is orienting new employees to dept.
- Assess daily/future needs of the dept.
- My help in interviewing candidates for open positions.
- Asses patient and determine treatment plan.
- Provide practice in functional, homemaking skills, activities of daily living, splinting, wheelchair positioning, and transfer training.
- Prepare documentation including evaluations, progress notes, discharge notes, and billing
- Consult with members of rehab team to select treatment programs consistent with needs and capabilities of the individual and to coordinate comprehensive services delivery.
- Train individuals in skills and techniques required for participation in activities and evaluates individual's functional progress.
- Attend department meetings.
- Required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk, and hear.
- Regularly lift/move 50 lbs or more.
- Frequently lift/move 75 lbs or more.
- Occasionally lift/move 100 lbs or more.
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram from and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
