Peer Support Coordinator

Job Description:

The Peer Support Coordinator supervises a team of peer support partners who provide advocacy and direct support to families in various settings including: meetings with mental health service providers, school and court officials and in clinical settings. The successful candidate must develop positive working relationships with other partners in the system of care, serve as an information resource, model appropriate advocacy skills and represent the family voice at meetings and community forums.

The successful candidate must have supervisory experience, have successfully navigated the system of care as the parent or caregiver of a child who has had emotional or behavioral challenges and be able to work flexible hours to meet families? needs. A valid driver?s license, reliable vehicle and insurance and Essex County residency are required.  Familiarity with Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills are necessary.
