Physician Scheduler

Job Requirements:

Must be: 

?  Experienced in multi-physician medical office scheduling.

?  Able to work in a stressful environment.

?  Polite and courteous under stressful conditions.

?  Self-directed and work as a team with other schedulers.

?  Organized

?  Able to do many tasks at one time.

?  Able to be flexible regarding work hours.

 This job may require staying late, coming in occasionally on the weekend or

 answering calls at home from AAR physicians.

 

 Dduties:

?  Put together all hospitals and all surgery centers schedules to form one complete

  schedule for the next day.

 

? Type the schedule. Divide the lines and  be certain we have enough physicians, make assignments, type anesthesia assignments in schedule and finalize schedule.

 

?  Post daily schedule to the web page. Copy schedule over and create new schedule for the exchange.

 

?  E-mail all physicians the final schedule. Fax all hospitals final schedule. Fax final schedule to OB physician.

Daily routing of 42+  physicians to and from 9-10 hospitals/surgery centers.

 

?  Organize all billing cards, checking them off to prior day's surgery schedule. Track late cards.

 

?  Cover current days surgery add-ons.

 

? Keep track of physicians' call schedules/vacations.

 

?  Answer telephones for rest of office.
