SAFETY MANAGER

Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) seeks an experienced individual for a full-time Safety Manager position.  Reporting to the Director of Security, Safety and Parking, this position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the activities of all departmental personnel in order to provide a safe environment to the Medical Center community.

 

Duties include development and implementation of programming that identifies, evaluates and controls fire, safety and occupational hazards, and monitoring compliance with external governmental and regulatory agencies including OHSA, JCAHO, IDPH and College of American Pathology.

 

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the safety field with special emphasis on fire protection; a Bachelor?s Degree in safety management and/or business administration; and, knowledge of fire protection, life safety codes and state/federal safety regulations.  Preferred candidates would also have CSP or Safety Management Engineer certification.
