Specialist-Documentation (132503-563)

Description The purpose of this job is to write, edit and produce end user documentation and Online Help for all Premier Healthcare and Informatics web based products.
This position works with the development team, project management team, product management team and the operations consultants to ensure that the documentation and the Online Help meet all specifications and requirements.



Major Accountabilities

Gather project plan information and review design specs in order to provide project schedules, detail and timeline estimates

Determine documentation content, format, as well as which software that will be most effective

Track and maintain existing documentation libraries

Provide documentation update based on new project enhancements

Work with necessary stakeholders in order to define product functionality, user requirements, project estimates, online help updates, and other critical information necessary to complete quality documentation and online help

Interpret technical information in order to develop user-friendly documentation

Develop written documentation and screen shots for all Healthcare Informatics products

Perform Audience Analysis

Convert documentation to appropriate format

Analyze dependencies and limitations of new documentation




 Required Skills


Bachelor?s degree required.

Technical writing experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

Four or more years of work experience writing technical documentation (in lieu of Bachelor?s degree).

Experience in the healthcare industry or related field preferred.



Knowledge and Skills

Proven ability to work in a matrix environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to understand technical issues and interpret in order to produce appropriate documentation.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and to adapt to change.

Project planning and estimation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
