Staff Assistant (Ophthamology)

Children's National Medical Center (CNMC), one of the nation's premier pediatric health care facilities, is currently seeking an experienced and highly professional Staff Assistant to work at our DC facility. In this role, you will perform complex administrative/secretarial tasks within the Ophthalmology division, directly supporting the Chief and staff physicians. Having extreme attention to detail and outstanding communication skills, we will rely on you to take the lead and manage program related activities, to include the ophthalmology fellowship program and grand rounds coordination. You will coordinate office workflow, priority setting, and problem solving with staff members.

 

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent); 5 to 7 years of related and progressive administrative experience; intermediate Microsoft Office software skills; the demonstrated ability to accurately type 50-60 words per minute. Finalist will be tested in Microsoft Office and typing skills. A Bachelor?s degree and previous process planning/implementation experience are preferred.
