Surgical Techs Needed-Per Diem

Responsibilities:

All Surgical Technicians will assist in the preparation of the surgical suite by checking all equipment for proper functioning and gathering instruments and supplies per surgeon?s preference.  Assist Circulating RN in proper positioning of patient and assist in moving patient to and from operating table.  Assist in taking specimens and cultures to laboratory and return unused supplies and instruments to proper storage areas.  Provides a sterile atmosphere and opens case prior to surgical intervention insuring all instruments and supplies are sterile.  Follows Scrub-Gown-Gloving Procedures, drapes Mayo stand and back table ensuring aseptic technique.  Prepare instruments and supplies in an orderly manner to expedite the surgical procedure and is responsible for assisting the Surgical Team in order to maintain an efficient OR and Procedure Room.

 

Requirements:

High School Diploma, graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program and at least 2 years surgical experience in a Hospital or Surgery Center setting.  CPR or BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.  CST certification preferred.
