TEAM LEADER - CARDIAC TESTING

Harbor Medical Associates is a group of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and support staff dedicated to providing a broad spectrum of primary care services to patients in over ten South Shore communities. GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for daily oversight of the assigned staff and areas. Performs a variety of scheduling activities and support services to assist internal and external physicians/physician offices and procedure centers in obtaining appointments for services. Acts as a role model for other staff members Assists with general practice administrative duties as necessary. This position reports to Practice Manager. Supervise area staff as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Books, coordinates and reschedules patients? appointments.

Relays necessary messages to staff. Greets and registers patients in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner.

Verifies necessary information and records in the medical record.

Maintains and updates current information on physician's schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly, appointments are confirmed and all billing requirements are met.

Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information.

Performs a variety of scheduling activities and support services to assist internal and external physicians/physician?s offices in obtaining patient appointment for assigned areas. Answers questions regarding patient appointments and testing.

Assembles patients? charts for next day visit. Updates profile on all patients.

Assists with preparation of agendas, materials, meetings, etc.

Oversees waiting area, coordinates patient movement, reports problems or irregularities. Attends meetings as required. Assist with transcription and test typing as necessary.

Provides professional, responsible and courteous environment of Customer Care where even the unexpressed needs of patients and internal/external customers are fulfilled.

Troubleshoots and solves issues for the areas assigned.

Provides written reviews of employees under of supervision, including staff development, coaching/counseling, disciplinary action, and or terminations as required.

Works with Practice Manager to constructively resolve issues Keeps practice manager informed as to performance of areas under assignment.

Creates and disseminates schedule as required.

Seeks and implements opportunities for improvement in operations, customer relations, and affiliated service providers. Ensures that providers? needs are being met and regularly seeks input from them. Maintains strictest of confidentiality. Maintains access performance log.Organizes, provides materials, supports, and attends area administrative meetings.

All other duties as assigned.
