Burn Therapist

In this vital role, you will work with patients who have sustained severe burn injuries and help them establish short- and long-term therapy goals. Responsibilities include evaluating patient physical and functional capabilities; planning an appropriate physical and/or occupational therapy program, including exercise, ADL?s, and other therapeutic methods to increase range of motion, coordination, strength/endurance, and cognitive abilities; designing, fabricating, and fitting ortho and pressure garments; and ensuring that sterile procedures are followed when treating burn patients.

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor?s degree in Occupational or Physical Therapy, current AOTA registration and DC licensure as an Occupational or Physical Therapist, seven months to one year of related experience, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
