**LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPIST NEEDED**

Licensed Physical Therapist needed full time with Laramie County School District #1, Cheyenne, Wyoming, to provide quality physical therapy services for students with disabilities. Salary DOE plus excellent benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS:Must be a graduate of an approved program in physical therapy.Must be licensed as required by the Wyoming State Board of Physical Therapy.

REPORTS TO: Director of Student Services or designee.

JOB GOAL: To provide quality physical therapy for students with disabilities.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists with screening children referred for motor problems.Identifies children with deviations in physical, developmental, gross/perceptual and functional motor areas that may affect their educational programs. Tools used include observation, standardized, and non-standardized techniques.Guides in determining appropriate goals for therapy, selecting treatment methods, and measuring effectiveness of intervention.Participates in I.E.P. meetings and writes appropriate goals and objectives for identified students.Establishes a system of documentation that is efficient and accountable, which will conform to state and District policies.Provides direct services to handicapped students in order to help handicapped students overcome obstacles interfering with the educational process.Consults with parents, educational personnel, medical agencies, and physicians to implement program planning, adapt physical environment, and integrate treatment into the child's environment.Trains and supervises school personnel involved with the mobility impaired students to permit more independence within the educational program.In-service professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents as necessary.Attends staffing and other school meetings when appropriate.Communicates needs of the physical therapy program to appropriate supervising school administrators.Performs any other tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Designated by contract.

EVALUATION: The immediate administrative supervisor will evaluate performance of this position.
