Description As an Occupational Therapist at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital, you'll be joining a team dedicated to delivering the best possible healthcare for our patients, through safe, supportive practices. Our Place The Occupational Therapist opening is in our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department assigned to Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital. This unit operates from the following units: Acute Care Unit, Transitional Care Unit, and Outpatient. Our staff serves patient and their families with limitations that keep them from functioning at their maximal or potential or partaking in meaningful day-to-day activities or routines without risk for injury. Patients treated include but are not limited to those diagnosed with: orthopedic, neurological, wounds, oncological, pulmonary, cardiac, congenital/development disorders, and sensory, cognitive, perceptual or emotional impairments. Your Position To fulfill this critical role as an Occupational Therapist, you'll work with a multi-disciplinary team comprised of other Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech Pathologists, Audiologists, Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation and Transportation Aides, Audiology Technicians, as well as RNs, CNAs, and other unit staff, treating inpatient clients. As a newly hired Occupational Therapist, you'll be precepted by unit-experienced staff and surrounded by a mentoring environment combined with an operational "what's best for the patient" attitude.
