Occupational Therapists - VA Treatment Ctr for Children

The Virginia Treatment Center for Children is the child and adolescent psychiatric service for VCU Medical Center. It offers an Acute Service and Intermediate Service for patients up to the age of 18. We are currently recruiting OTs who meet the following requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy; experience in pediatric occupational therapy; passing score on NBCOT exam; and license to practice or eligibility for licensure in VA as an OT. Prefer experience in sensory integration and/or psychiatry. Must have the following skills: understanding in sensorimotor, cognitive, psychosocial and communicative aspects of various learning, emotional and mental health disabilities; ability to use supportive communication techniques with patients; facilitation of problem solving abilities; and ability to set appropriate limits as needed.
