PROGRAM COORDINATOR - CVA/BI
PROGRAM COORDINATOR - CVA/BI
Under the direction of the Director of Rehab Services, provides overall coordination of the CVA/Brain Injury Programs of Adventist Rehab Hospital of Maryland, acquired and traumatic. Serves as expert in evidence-based interdisciplinary medicine, for neurologicially involved patients. Reviews admissions, treatment plans, and team documentation for adherence to standards of care. Consults with team for behavioral management, and management of complex patients. Provides feedback to management on staff competencies and participation on assigned neuro teams. Helps team to achieve outcomes established, and tracks utilization of critical elements. Provides data and analysis with recommendations for improvement for the teams.
?Minimum Masters Degree or equivalent: DPT from an accredited program in any Rehab Discipline: Rehab Nursing, Case-Management, PT,OT,TR,SLP NeuroPsychology.
? Appropriate current Maryland license and/or certification as required for discipline.
? Current BLS for Health Care Provider
? Minimum of 10 years of total Interdisciplinary Rehab experience, with 6 of those years site specific and 4 in specialty, at least 1 in interdisciplinary team coordination.
? Must have experience in conducting basic research, in preparing staff to conduct clinical studies.
? Minimum 3 years of experience with specialty interdisciplinary teams, at least 2 in CARF accredited BI programs.
? At least 3 years of experience with teaching classes, competencies, in the neuro specialty.
Nationally recognized certification in Neuro, Brain Injury, Stroke or its equivalent.
