Physical Therapist Assistant- PT Asst

The Physical Therapist Assistant performs components of physical therapy procedures and related tasks under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with practices of physical therapy.  Patients population ranges in age from 18 years to geriatric experiencing medically complex conditions and/or medical surgical conditions requiring rehabilitation and/or wound care needs.  Assist patients with his/her maximum functional performance while learning to live within his/her capabilities.  Records the patient?s responses to treatment and reports the outcome of each treatment to the Physical Therapist. 

 

Education and/or Experience: 

Graduate of an accredited school for Physical Therapist Assistant program.

 

  Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: 

Current license for Physical Therapist Assistant in state of employment.  Must maintain current Provider CPR certification throughout employment.
