Physical Therapy Aide/Office Coordiantor

Rehab Excel, an outpatient orthopedic facility on Manchester Rd. in St. Louis, has an opening for a full-time (40 hrs./wk) self-motivated Physical Therapy Aide/ Front Desk Coordinator.  Hours are flexible, and evenings until 7:00 pm are required two nights a week. Duties will include assisting physical therapists with patient care, administering modalities such as ultra sound, helping patients with their stretches, attending to the front desk, some clerical work, and the contributing to the overall organization of the facility.  The ideal candidate will possess training and/or experience that allows him or her to aide therapists in carrying out rehabiliataion procedures under direct supervision of a physical therapist, with experience working in the front office of a PT clinic.

Tasks will include but not be limited to:

-Assisting the Physical Therapists with patient treatment, while under direct supervision.

-Cleaning and maintaining physical therapy and exercise equipment within the facility.

-General front desk procedures such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, insurance verifications, and collecting payments.

-Some general clerical duties such as transcription of progress notes, making copies and faxing documents.

The preferred candidate will be able to work effectively as a team memeber, possess strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, an excellent customer service attitude.  Candidates should have ample experience using microsoft office.
