Job Description

 

Responsible for supervision of Physical, Occupational, Therapists including hiring, firing, disciplinary in conjunction with thorough record reviews, audits, field visits and consultation with supervisors in other disciplines. Develops policies and standards for rehab services. Determines in-service needs of Comprehensive Care Management staff in regard to rehab services

 

Participates in planning and implementation of educational programs for all staff.

 

Participates in Comprehensive Care Management Supervisory activities including, but not limited to, interdisciplinary case conferences, quality assurance, clinical record audits, utilization review, development of new services, and developing Performance Improvement Plans

 

Participates in formulation and revision of agency policies and procedures related to the Rehabilitation Department. Plans and executes studies and community surveys as appropriate. Completes clinical record audits on patients receiving rehab services and with Certified Home Health Agency.

 

Coordinates Rehabilitative Services with other disciplines to achieve the most comprehensive care possible. Collaborates with Administration and Physical/Occupational Therapy Supervisors; if applicable, on budget and equipment issues, staffing pattern and evaluations, patient care concerns, and coordination of Home Therapy cases.

 

Evaluates and treats Rehabilitation patients in specific area of expertise as appropriate.

 

This position is located in our Brooklyn sites.

 

Bachelor?s Degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy with three years experience in a health care setting. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
