Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
*Receives incoming Notice of Injury Reports in Triage Unit
*Responsible for contacting injured employee immediately upon notice
*Contact medical facility/physician in advance of injured employee
arrival with authorization information
*Contact medical facility/physician immediately after treatment to
determine next steps
*Secure DWC-25 form, aid in expediting any referrals; with approval of
adjuster, authorize referrals for RX, PT, testing, etc, in advance so
that injured employee is not waiting for authorizations
*Contact designated client to communicate stay at work, return to work,
and information
*Responsible for assessing the injury, facilitating and coordinating the
necessary medical treatment of the injured employee
*Interacts with providers to obtain or clarify clinical information
*Compares clinical information against the appropriate criteria set
*Work collaboratively with clinician network providers in a case-based,
continuum of care model, while maintaining close communication with
client throughout the process
*Play an activist role on behalf of the injured employee, employer and
physician
*Technically proficient in a myriad of integrated duties and
responsibilities within working collaboratively with the adjuster and
support the three key stakeholders: client, injured employee and
network physicians
Job Requirements:
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent
*3+ years of related work experience
*Related work experience will be defined as 3+ years physical therapy
experience with special emphasis in orthopedic and occupational
industrial rehabilitation
*Workers' Compensation experience
*Candidate must be fully licensed as a physical therapist and a graduate
of an accredited Physical Therapy program
*Licensed in the State of Florida
Business Specific Criteria (preferred skills)
*Bi-lingual (Spanish-English/Creole-English)
