Account Executive/Manager - Hotel Technology - Nationwide Positions

DESCRIPTION

 

RedSky IT is a leading international vendor of technology solutions for the hotel sector, principally with Property Management Systems (PMS) for independent hotels, chains and management companies.  We employ around 70 people in the US, mainly based at our location in central New Jersey, plus a further 350 elsewhere in the world.  Our customers include some major names in hospitality like Country Inns & Suites by Carlson and Microtel Inns plus many hundreds of smaller chains and single hotels.  In total, we have around 4,000 hotel customers worldwide.

 

As part of our continued growth, we have new opportunities in business development in key locations nationwide.

 

The successful candidate will be required to make phone and face to face presentations to hotel management and ownership, and to senior management at regional hotel and management companies.  You will have the support of a world class product, training and support infrastructure.  You will be a highly enthusiastic self-starter capable of generating your own leads with the support of the central marketing function, in addition to managing the sales cycle with a wide range of clients.

 

You will be responsible to maintain long term relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction and to maximize revenues for RedSky IT.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Responsibilities

In order to be successful, you must have an understanding of the hotel and/or travel sector, and ideally have experience of at least one of the following:

? Property Management Systems (PMS)

? Central Reservations Systems (CRS)

? Global Distribution Systems (GDS)

? Internet bookings

 

Additional Requirements

? You must possess great communication skills and be able to articulate the business benefits of a leading range of software products for our particular niche market

? Prepare and present detailed price and business proposals, responses to Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals

? Develop specific tactical sales campaigns in association with senior management and corporate marketing

? Forecast sales outcomes accurately and set prospecting activities to achieve agreed goals

? Represent RedSky IT at outside events such as trade shows, seminars etc

 

Qualifications

? Bachelor?s degree with a minimum of two years relevant sales experience

? Experience of sales within the hospitality sector gained through either hotel sales or sales to hotels

? Proficiency with MS Office tools
