Account Manager

GES Exposition Services, a leading tradeshow and event marketing company, is seeking a high-energy, self-starter with demonstrated leadership abilities, integrity, and a passion for hassle-free service.

 

The Account Manager will work under the direction of the Director of Account Management.  With flexibility and exceptional client and customer service, he or she will coordinate and oversee production and on-site supervision of accounts.  Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

1. Coordinate and promote account management services on accounts.

2. Communicate effectively to be the liaison with show management, exhibitors, hotel and/or convention center staffs, and production personnel in regard to all services.

3. Assume responsibility for shows from inception to completion with the final goal being to renew and secure new account contracts.

4. Develop new ideas for the expansion of services, and renewals of existing contracts.

5. Ensure that all documentation pertaining to accounts comply with established GES accounting, purchasing, and other procedures.

6. Supervise and assist showsite personnel as needed.

7. Assist in billings and collections, and provide prompt resolution when needed.

8. Continuously keep abreast of industry trends and events.

9. Keep current on tradeshow designs, pricing structures, and innovative floor plans.

10 Seek to secure new business leads, and prepare proposals and contracts for new accounts per company standards.

11. Always represent the company in a professional manner

 

Successful candidate should possess the following:

1. Two plus (2+) years sales/service and/or operations experience  

2. Two plus (2+) years direct or in-direct supervisory/management experience

3. Two plus (2+) years P & L responsibility

4. Experience in a union environment preferred

5. Convention and Trade Show experience highly preferred

6. Bachelors Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience desired
