Baywood Hotels, Inc. a leading regional hotel operator/developer seeks a Greenbelt, MD based accounting manager or controller to perform functions essential to the success of the firm.

Primary Responsibility:

Baywood Hotels is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager / Controller to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department. This position is hands-on and will direct and monitor the accounting cycle from Accounts Payable to the monthly financial statements. Includes a range of financial accounting, reporting, and systems activities for this growing organization.

Responsibilities:
? Review and approve recurring general ledger activities
? Perform month end closing tasks to ensure timely close
? Generate monthly financial statements
? Prepare financial analysis as needed
? Prepare, perform, and review periodic journal entries
? Ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of federal agencies private organizations

Essential Skills & Experience:
? Time management: The ability to organize and multi-task
? High level of attention to detail
? Computer proficiency
? Strong administrative skills
? Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications:
? 3-4 years of general accounting experience or financial reporting
? Must have a bachelors degree
? Supervisory experience
? Ability to form a solid working relationship with a variety of personality types.
