Assistant General Manager

Job Description and Responsibilities

Oversees all parking operations for the airport. Supervises all employees and is responsible for their selection, training and performance evaluation. Participates in the budget development and management process. Creates and plans programs and projects that adhere to airport rules and regulations, and oversees their implementation. Develops, maintains and enhances the Airport Authority relationship.

Direct management and supervisory staff.

Conduct preliminary review of all reports, budgets, revenues and expenses to ensure accuracy.

Oversee revenue control for area of responsibility; may include report and budget development.

Monitor revenue control measures to ensure performance to budget

Analyze data for recommendations including, but not limited to competitive analysis

Interact directly with clients to maintain and enhance client relationships; may be responsible for new business development

Works with General Manager in developing operational standards to achieve operational excellence

Oversee the staffing of Operations including, but not limited to recruitment and selection of management staff

Responsible for the Performance Management and Development of staff

Other duties as assigned

The Asssitant General Manager will be the individual in charge when the Airport General Manager is not on site. This person will have proven decision making skills and will undergo extensive training and evaluation prior to assignment as AGM. At a minimum, the AGM will have 3 years experience supervising a staff of 5 or more.
