Catering Sales Manager

Job Description:

 

Beck Company Hotels has an opportunity to join our 9 member Corporate Sales & Catering Team in the Newport News Area. Our company owns and operates 11 hotels throughout the state of Virginia.  We are in search of a person with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability effectively communicate with all departments of the hotel especially:  Front Desk, Reservations, and Food & Beverage. 

 

We currently have available a Catering Sales Manager position. The primary focus of this position will be develop and service catering business for our 2 full service properties in Newport News.

 

While experience in hotel sales and catering is desired, we will develop and train individuals who possess a winning  and team oriented attitude,  outgoing personality and the desire to serve our guests.

 

Job duties include: 

 

-Revenue production in the Corporate Sales office and transient market as designated

-Actively selling through outside calls, site visits and prospecting calls.

-Service client events through the planning process and until implemented by the Banquet  Division

-Meet and/or exceed planned revenue objectives, both individual and team objectives

-Identify and maintain constant communications with the Hotel's key accounts and target accounts

-Maintain a professional rapport within the business community. 

-Involvement in daily activities will include securing, qualifying and following up on leads to book specific business and capture accounts for all Newport News properties. 

-Assist with development of the Hotel's marketing plan based on hotel's position and strengths within designated market

-Use industry and Hotel resources to surface, call on, and track potential business.
