Cruise Destination Tourism Planner

Bermello, Ajamil & Partners, Inc. (B+A) seeks a self-motivated senior lead project manager to work on multiple complex projects within the Maritime Planning Department. The incumbent will bring in business and conduct research, analysis and report writing inclusive of market reports, planning reports and others. The Cruise Destination Tourism Planner will work with clients, project stakeholders, B&A staff and sub-consultants.

The ideal candidate must be able to prepare professional staff reports of summarized data; state conclusions, make recommendations, and give oral presentations. Candidate will analyze and interpret social, economic, population, and land use data and trends; participate in planning workshops and studies and oversee sub-consultant contracts.

A background of 5-10 years in planning either through education, practical experience or preferably both is required or any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the position. Cruise or tourism practical experience (operations/analytical) or destination development experience highly desired.

Position requires experience preparing and managing planning assignments, and advanced analytical, writing and communication skills. Strong management and interpersonal skills are essential.

Computer usage for preparation of reports and correspondence; principles, practices, trends of public planning, and planning law; English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation; statistics and graphic presentation; and research techniques. Use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Project are essential. Spanish language abilities are a plus.
