Director of Operations

The San Francisco Airport Marriott is currently looking to fill a Director of Operations position. This position functions as the Strategic Business Leader of Rooms and Food and Beverage operations and acts as General Manager in his/her absence. Areas of responsibilities include Front Office, Business Center, Retail, Recreation/Fitness Center, Housekeeping, Loss Prevention, Food and Beverage and Event Management where applicable. Position oversees the development and implementation of departmental strategies and ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives. The position ensures the Rooms and Food & Beverage operations meets the brand's target customer needs, ensures associates satisfaction, focuses on growing revenues and maximizes the financial performance of the department. As a member of the executive committee develops and implements hotel-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand's target customer and associates and provide a return on investment to the owner and Marriott International.

Skills and Knowledge:

*Extensive knowledge of hotel operations including rooms, food and beverage, event management. 
*Solid knowledge of food and beverage concepts and sales strategies.
*Knowledge of revenue management and marketing strategies.
*Ability to understand complex sales organization and corresponding sales processes.

*Knowledge of purchasing, inventory controls, supplies and equipment.
