EVENT MANAGER

General Summary

? The Catering Division holds events at the ECC as well as Off Premise.  We also provide drop off office and social catering.  As each event we do is customized to meet the needs of our clients this job is ever changing.  The primary focus of this position is to ensure superior execution of all events.  Upholding Legal Sea Food?s high quality standards as they apply to each event.  Working with clients to see that their expectations are exceeded while keeping Legal Sea Foods standards in line.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

? Scheduling of staff to ensure the requirements for each event are being met while keeping labor costs in line with incoming revenue and budget.

? Training FOH staff in proper service as well as event specific details.

? Determining the set up, service and tear down of events

? Communicating timing of event with kitchen and staff during each event

? Supervising the execution of events

? Maintaining proper inventory levels of all standers equipment and supplies

? Determining the set up, service and breakdown assignments to encompass all facets of each event

? Organizing the staffing of all events on a weekly basis

? Meeting with clients as to the details of the event once the menu and contracts have all been negotiated

? Attending weekly Banquet Event Order Meetings

? Creating and organizing pack outs for events

? Working with management team and cleaning crew to ensure that basic facility maintenance and cleanliness are being taken care of

? Supervising the execution of events

? Keeping labor costs in line with budgets and incoming revenues

? Maintaining appropriate inventory levels on paper products and non-perishable supplies.

? Creating advocates of Legal Sea Foods catering division by exceeding client?s expectations.

Minimum Education & Training

? Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred

? Knowledge of Legal Sea Foods culture and high standards

? Ability to oversee and assist with physical labor during certain events

? 2 + Years of experience in service industry in a supervisory position

 

 

Supervision Received

? There is a moderate level of daily supervision by the Director of Catering.  Involvement in weekly management meeting is required.
