Food Service Director - Vista Del Rio
Outstanding opportunity exists for a professional, creative and seasoned Executive Chef/Food & Beverage Director at an upscale, full-service retirement living community to oversee all aspects of food and beverage, including culinary, events, and outlets. Our organization is looking for a key player to join our team in the Albuquerque, NM area. Position will be responsible for budgets, cost control measures, quality standards, guest and associate satisfaction. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to lead, direct and motivate the staff.
Responsibilities include: hiring, training, managing and motivating the Food & Beverage team. Must be able to manage the departmental budget by delivering exceptional service and quality of product in accordance with established operational standards.
While this position is directly responsible for daily operations, it also requires a hands-on approach to food preparation, creative, and strategic thinker who works with staff members to identify areas that need improvement or enhancement.
Our ideal candidate will have:
?Minimum of 3-5 years as Executive Chef in hotel, country club, or health-care industry.
?Degree/diploma in hospitality management program or culinary arts degree, a strong asset.
?Proven leadership ability that supports an environment of employee growth and development, interdepartmental teamwork, and exceptional customer service.
?Knowledge of local and state health and sanitation and safety codes
?Highly motivated and guest driven with the proven ability to solve problems and to make timely guest service decisions.
?Proactive with a demonstrated eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple functions/projects while meeting deadlines.
?Excellent interpersonal and communication skill, both written and verbal.
?Computer literacy required: Windows and MS Office.
