Front Desk-Guest Service Representative

We are currently seeking a hands-on Front Desk-Customer Service Representative for 55 room Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. We are just 6 years old and have experienced rapid growth. We have a strong core team and we are looking for a front desk representative who will work with our front desk staff and ensure that all duties are performed routinely and to the highest possible standard. This position is ideal for someone who is customer service oriented and who is not afraid to roll up his or her sleeves and work. Some of the front desk functions you will be performing are: guest services, clerical & administrative work, phone sales & reservations, phone & e-mail correspondence, bell service, retail sales, and maintenance & cleaning of lobby area>Set on the banks of the Colorado River near 2 national parks, the resort is truly one of a kind. We are approximately 18 miles from the nearest town (Moab, UT) and 80 miles to Grand Junction, Colorado. The area is ideal for someone who enjoys living in a quiet, peaceful environment, or loves to be outdoors and active in their free time. Position includes housing. Job Requirements:-HANDS ON!-detail oriented, computer savvy-experience in hospitality / customer service industry is preferred (high-end clientele a plus!)-excellent phone skills a must!!-sales and reservations experience or inclination-retail experience--stocking, pricing, selling, etc. -outgoing & high-energy-ability to lift and carry luggage-outstanding command of verbal and written language (e-mail and phone correspondence)-strong computer skills -scheduling of activities, spa appointments, etc.-ability to multi-task is ESSENTIALPlus:-Ability to handle customer service problems-Innate sense of etiquette and knowledge of high-end client expectations-Professionalism at all times with both staff and guests-Excellent communication with management staff -Implementation of an ongoing training program with hotel software.We are Utah?s only Small Luxury Hotel and the only AAA 4-Diamond Property in Southeastern Utah.A great deal of customer service skills is a must, as is computer literacy and familiarity with PMS and restaurant systems.
