Gaming Systems Administrator I
$55k ? 70k/yr
Essential Duties:
Assists with software administration of gaming applications and software.

Ensures minimum internal controls for IT are being met for system, software and application changes.

Assist with on-going support of gaming applications, software, and the database environment.

This includes the use and understanding of proper industry standards for the following operational elements:

- DB integrity and security from an application perspective,
- documentation,
- policy and procedure,
- change management,
application of the software to the business environment and user and administrator required education and training.

Properly use gaming applications in the production and test environments for successful deployment and operations.

Assist with managing proper and secure gaming application access for technical staff, end-users, IT vendors, and other system users.

Provides updated documentation for these levels of access.

Assist with software management, version control and documentation, development and monitoring gaming application metrics and performance factors, and assist with disaster recovery planning and testing.
Helps develop updated documentation that includes data and logic flow diagrams, configuration settings, and required operational procedures to support the application environment.
Maintain relationships with vendors for the purpose of resolving issues and maintaining a view of future products and technologies.
Assist with product and service research, review and selection for gaming environment.


Qualifications/Education:
High school diploma required
A.S. or equivalent in Computer Science required
B.S. in Computer Science a plus
2 to 3 years experience with Network Technologies, Software Design and Troubleshooting:
Windows NT/2000
SQL & MS SQL (7.0 & 2000)
Other DB experience a plus
1-2 years of technical services or help desk, project management skills, and knowledge of business processes, workflow methodologies:
Needs Assessment
Change Management
Application Security
Project Management
Minimum Internal Control Standards for IT

*****This position has a rotating schedule between weekday days and week end (Friday through Monday) swing. The rotation is two weeks every eight weeks (for example, first two weeks employee has the weekends the next six weeks they have week days and then back to the weekend schedule.***
