Proactive Partners, a division of Tennis Corporation of America (TCA), seeks an experienced General Manager to provide leadership and operational excellence over Wildwood Athletic Club, a hospital-based wellness center in Toledo, Ohio

Proactive Partners (formerly TCA Professional Services) began more than a decade ago when TCA leveraged it?s reputation for operational excellence by expanding business to include managing corporate fitness centers, hospital-based wellness facilities and amenity health clubs for numerous highly recognized organizations such as: Kraft Foods, McDonalds Corporation, CDW, The Travelers, Promedica, and Henry Ford Health System.

 About the Club

 

Wildwood Athletic Club is a 60,000 square foot upscale wellness center offering state-of-the-art fitness equipment, cardiovascular equipment, strength training circuits, free weights, an indoor swimming pool, an indoor running track, a group exercise studio, a 4,000 sq. ft. Kid?s Club, locker rooms, saunas and eucalyptus steam rooms.  Wildwood Athletic Club also offers our members services such as Massage Therapy, Reflexology, group exercise programs including Yoga, Pilates mat, martial arts, kickboxing, Aquatic classes, Spinning, Body Pump, and Step Classes, weight management programs, nutritional counseling, Sports Care eXcel Performance Training designed to optimize athletic performance and more. 

 

Responsibilities

 

This is a multi-facetted role with broad responsibilities which include acting as the club ambassador to our members, club owners and the community, overseeing club operations, providing leadership to department managers and staff, increasing revenues through membership and service growth, ensuring profitability of club, developing and implementing business plans, monitoring the club financials and meeting budgetary goals.  This position requires a high degree of visibility within the club and surrounding communities.

 

Qualifications

 

Candidates must have at least three years of proven success as a General Manager within a health club, hotel or country club environment.  We seek a successful leader with a competitive spirit.  The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, an optimistic attitude, be a confident decision-maker, possess a comprehensive understanding of business financials, exhibit secure knowledge of operations, have consultative sales skills and have the ability to inspire people.
