AVSC is searching for motivated candidates interested in a career in hospitality and meeting services to join our September 2006 Accelerated Development Program (ADP). ADP is our management training program designed to develop our next generation of Directors of Audio Visual Services for our nationwide network of 550 + luxury hotel and conference center properties.

 

Upon successful completion of the ADP, selected candidates will begin a business career in an exciting management role. Our Directors have full responsibility of leading the day-to-day hotel audiovisual services operations ?hotel and client relationships, new business development, profit & loss, staff management and technical operations. The three-month, multi-phased program combines hands-on training at selected AVSC properties with classroom instruction. The initial three months of training will take place in your current city of residence. Once you are placed into a full time management opportunity, you may be asked to relocate anywhere in the United States - this relocation, if needed, will take place at the end of your 3-month training period.

 

Through the program you will:

  Obtain a unique understanding of the meeting services industry and an individual property?s position in the marketplace.

 Learn how to manage an entrepreneurial-oriented business with focus on establishing strong partnerships with hotel/resort staff and clients.

 Acquire a solid foundation in financial and sales management.

 Gain effective performance management and employee relations skills.

 Become technically proficient with audiovisual equipment.

 

 

Qualified candidates must posses the following background:

  Recent college graduate with a BA or BS degree in business administration, communications, hospitality management or technical disciplines

 GPA of 3.0 or higher

 Strong interest in a business career with a technical services company with the opportunity for advancement and promotion

 Excellent communication and presentation skills

 MUST be able to start the program on September 18, 2006

 MUST be willing to relocate within the US upon graduation

 Flexibility for business travel during the training period (2 weeks to IL)

 Hospitality, Audio Visual, retail and/or restaurant management experience is a major plus
