Public Relations Manager with Travel Media Contacts

COMM Group, Inc. seeks a bright, energetic full-time Public Relations Manager, with excellent PR writing, excellent phone skills with journalists, and organizational expertise. A minimum of 3-5 years experience in the media relations field; Strong public relations background; Established contacts in travel consumer and trade press; Excellent writing and communication skills required; Background in travel trade journalism a huge plus; Ability to recognize publicity opportunities; Work as a strong team member in a remote location; Possess the ability to create and execute strategic media relations plans.

Proven record of dependability, good judgment and decision-making skills; Ability to consistently meet stringent deadlines and think strategically is a must; BA degree in Communications preferred. 


This challenging opportunity is responsible for:

Developing lists and relationships with travel writers and editors;
Writing and submitting deals and promotions to all media outlets;
Pitching and managing speaking opportunities for Executive Management;
Writing feature articles for press placement -- including money-saving vacation tips, etc..
Writing and posting corporate press releases on a regular basis;
Responding to all press requests for information, travel deals and interviews;
Executing viral marketing strategies and tactics;
Writing and submitting site(s) for awards
