Regional Group Sales Manager

Our company headquarters is located in a historic mill building in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, located minutes from downtown Providence.

Collette Vacations is seeking a Regional Group Sales Manager for our Rhode Island office.

 





Regional Group Sales Managers will manage a team of employees in the Group Sales Department which consists of numerous group sales assistants. They are responsible for supervision, administration, scheduling and coordinating the work flow of both inbound and outbound call efforts. Responds to inquiries and researches and resolves problems related to transactions handled by the unit; serves as liaison with other constituencies in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational issues.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages sales efforts, including activities of group sales and sales functions, and monitoring of overall performance.Supervises personnel including recommendations for hiring, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution. Sells to and maintains contact with major accounts as a second level to GSA and DSM within a region.

 

As appropriate to the position, participates in the development of operating goals and objectives for the unit; recommends, implements, and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations. Assists in the annual budget planning process and regularly monitors expenditures in cooperation with Director of Inside Sales.

 

Analyzes and appraises the effectiveness of sales, methods, and results as they pertain to regional team. Required to work flexible shifts, including some weekends and overnight shifts, to accommodate call volume, emergency coverage and staffing needs. Act as primary contact for clients who have incurred customer service problems related to group sales.

 

Assume the responsibility for initiating calls and accommodating groups affected by inventory moves, while working in conjunction with the DSMs and RSM. Lead the team in customer resolutions with optimum turn around times.

 

Mentor and motivate team members to enhance skill level as part of the management succession program within the department and company.Maintains and monitors records and reports pertaining to team performance and productivity and fulfillment functions to ensure timely customer services and retention

Other related duties as assigned or directed. 

Requirements:Bachelor's degree required.At least two years of managerial/supervisory experience required.Knowledgeable of sales, operations, quality control procedures and reporting documentation requirements. Excellent oral and written communication necessary.Must have problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
