Retail Manager

About the Job Located at Roger Williams University in historic Bristol, Rhode Island, just thirty minutes from Providence, and only minutes from Newport the job of Retail Manager is one that needs a strong, experienced individual who is up for a challenge and never willing to settle for anything but the BEST!

As Retail Manager you will be responsible for the overall sucess of the Retail Shop adhering to the Client's culture and guidelines, the Health Department's regulations, and Bon Appetit's standards and expectations of food quality and operational tasks of the Retail Shop, including financial management and analysis, sanitation and safety.  You must always be displaying the "customer comes first" attitude by training and holding associates accountable for delivering legendary customer service.  You must also be a coach and director for you are the one that will be pushing your team to achieve the operational goals that you and the General Manager set forth.  A college degree or degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, with computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel.  Minimum of three years experience. 

 

Some Responsibilities

* Hire, train and supervise daily conduct of entire staff

* Conducts cashier audits, guaranteeing the integrity of the cash handling system

* Develops checklists for cleaning, closing, and opening of operation

* Oversees the overall appearance of the entire Retail Outlet

* Monitors and manages store staffing levels to ensure partner development and talent acquisition to achieve and maintain store operations requirements

* Solicits customer feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the local community
