This position reports to the Owner/General Manager of Elk Mountain Resort 

 

Job Function

 

To increase the wedding, event, room and food and beverage sales of Elk Mountain Resort while providing all customers with professional and courteous service at all times.

 

Essential Responsibilities

 To provide professional and courteous service to all potential customers and contacts. To pursue potential business leads for wedding and event opportunities. To call on companies, travel agencies and other establishments that may provide potential wedding and event business to the Resort. To maintain an up to date understanding of Elk Mountain Resort?s competitive set in the market place. To complete and send contracts to potential clients upon request.  To follow up on all leads and contacts established. To support the Owner/General Manager in completing the annual marketing plan and budget. Support company goals, policies, and initiatives by working in a cooperative fashion with all areas of the Resort. Follow all safety rules and policies.

 

Qualifications

 Should have at least 3 years? experience in hospitality sales, with an emphasis on weddings. Should be well organized Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited college, or a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent Must be willing to travel on occasion Should have experience in Sales & Catering Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel

 

Elk Mountain Resort is located on 275 acres of pristine country in Southwest Colorado Surrounded by pristine National Forests and the San Juan Mountains Just 50 minutes away from the resort haven of Telluride Only 19 miles from Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) 35 miles from Telluride Regional Airport (TEX)
