Senior Vice President of Transportation

 

AIFS seeks an experienced individual to oversee our air  transportation for both westbound and eastbound originating programs, overseeing all international and domestic feed space.  Responsibilities will include planning business strategies for developing markets, negotiating rates and rules and analyzing contract data with airlines.  The position would involve supervising senior team members who coordinate large teams of agents on a worldwide basis.

Job Description:

The SVP of Transportation will oversee the full air package for both westbound and eastbound originating programs.  The qualified candidate will oversee all international and domestic feed space.

 

? Proven experience of negotiating contracts with airlines

? Minimum five years experience in the airline industry

? Excellent leadership and communication skills

? Successful experience in leading and motivating staff

? Familiarity with international routes and requirements

? Familiarity with the student market

?  Proven knowledge of Sabre

?  Knowledge of Worldspan, Apollo and/or Amadeus a plus

 

This position will reside in Boston, MA at AIFS? Educational Travel division, ACIS (American Council for International Studies, Inc.).
