Assistant Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner

Under the direction of the First Vice President, Human Resources or Senior Vice President, Human Resources, this position partners with designated client group (within Countrywide Bank) management to understand their Human Resources priorities, strategic and tactical objectives and other related Human Resources needs.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Communicating existing corporate Human Resources programs and offerings.
- Coordinating with Bank and Corporate Human Resources Specialists to ensure client's needs and priorities are understood and met.
- Coordinating Human Resources support for the department, making recommendations, implementing changes and designing strategic interventions to ensure that quality service is delivered and that Human Resources programs meet department objectives and corporate goals.
- Assisting department management with the development of job descriptions, processing new hire requisitions and employee information changes, and similar Human Resources activities.

A successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 3+ years experience as a Human Resources Generalist, preferably with a functional specialty.
- Working knowledge of strategic planning, project management and internal consulting.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good stand-up speaking skills and ability to confidently present to a large group.
- Finely honed project management skills.
- Good negotiating skills.
- Ability to interact with senior management and outside vendors.
- PC proficiency and working knowledge of Excel software.

The ideal candidate may also possess:
- Advanced degree or certification in Human Resources, MBA or related field.
