These are long-term partnerships with clients for whom we manage and provide increasingly specialized business operations, such as finance and accounting, IT, applications development and maintenance, help desk services, and HR. The Benefits Specialist provides expertise in the area of disability, FMLA, worker?s compensation, ergonomic accommodations, ADA compliance, military leave, and adoption leaves, by working directly with client personnel to manage leaves, claims and individual ergonomic accommodations. He/she escalates issues and seeks advice when faced with complex issues/problems. This individual may have regular interaction with users around first line queries/requests for information. He/she applies procedures to ensure accuracy of output and adopts continuous improvement approach. This role is also required to share knowledge and experience with others.
Execute processes and advise client personnel, according to client policies, in managing service provided in any of the following areas:
?Short-term and Long-term disability
?Federal Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA) & various state acts
?Worker?s compensation leaves
?Ergonomic accommodations
?Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations
?Military Leaves of Absence
?Adoption Leaves
?Provide appropriate paperwork to support processes and ensure compliance in following client policies/practices.
?Maintain confidential files to meet client requirements
?Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client policies, statutory requirements and special handling procedures.
?Prioritize activities to meet client deadlines and quality standards
?Provide input into process improvement opportunities
?Support and sustain a positive work environment that fosters team performance through own work and behavior
?Overtime may be required
Qualifications
?1 - 4 years of experience in a benefits administration role,
?1 - 5 years experience with MS applications (Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
?HS Diploma or GED required
?1 - 5 years experience with Internet, Internet Explorer and web based systems
?1 - 5 years of experience in a benefits administration role, preferably in Leaves/FMLA
?1 - 4 years experience with customer service skills
Nice to Have/A Plus:
?Previous HR experience, preferably in an operations environment
?B.A. or Associates degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. High School Diploma or GED required.
?Experience with Leaves/FMLA
