Account Manager - IT Staffing

JOB SUMMARY: The Comsys Account Manager is the primary driver of new business development in local markets.  The Account Manager responsible for developing new client relationships, managing existing client relationships to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability, and expanding current client relationships.  In addition, supervises and grows the consultant practice, provides needs-based solutions to our clients and sells additional Comsys products and services. The generation of individual job placements will come under the overall direction of the Account Manager, while day-to-day obtaining of job orders, recruiting and placement activities will be handled by branch Placement Managers.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

v  Spends a minimum of 80% of time engaging in outside sales activities, such as establishing and developing new client relationships in order to diversify client base and gain market share, assuring that the Comsys sales methodology and process is being utilized.

v  Maintains a prospect pipeline sufficient to achieve new business targets.

v  Negotiates contracts according to Comsys policies and specifications (i.e., credit worthiness, terms and conditions, and profit expectations).

v  Generates net headcount growth and manages overall profitability within current clients.

v  Establishes relationships at appropriate client levels to identify strategic, as well as transactional IT staffing needs.

v  Ensures timely collection of receivables by working with appropriate individuals, including branch leadership, branch administration and the Accounting and Collections Departments.

v  Works directly with Placement Managers in structuring and delivering an effective service delivery model on a client-by-client basis.

v  Manages consultant retention, remarketing and renewals by supervising the consultant practice on a day-to-day basis, maintaining contact with consultants during assignments/projects at client sites to remain aware of project status, gathering feedback from Consultant and client about progress/performance, and resolving consultant issues.

v  May be involved in the counseling and disciplining of consultants or subcontractors, as necessary, after consulting with HR and branch leadership. 

v  Maintains timely and accurate Front Office system records regarding client databases, contacts, call activity and opportunity management.

v  Performs other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree or equivalent plus three to five years experience in technology sales, preferably in an IT consulting environment.  Proven negotiation skills are a must.  Requires excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with clients/candidates at all levels.  Requires ability to effectively multi-task and function in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.  Profit  & loss experience a plus.
