Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, the Administrative Assistant & Human Resources Coordinator is a key member of a small human resources/finance department of a well-funded, rapidly growing technology company. The role is for a take-charge individual who can ?hit the ground running?.
The role supports the Vice President of Finance in managing the finance department and coordinates the human resources activities of the company. This includes the areas of compensation/benefits, recruiting, new hires orientation, employee relations, employee evaluations, and training.
Pay Range: $35,000-45,000
Responsibilities:
? Provide administrative support for the Vice President of Finance. This includes staff meetings, Board of Director meetings, monthly financial reporting, and internal & external correspondence.
? Handles the company purchasing card accounts and coordinates the process of new & termination of cardsMaintains employee files & records including new hires, change of status filings, and termination information. Reviews files periodically to ensure that all necessary forms & filings are in order and according to corporate, state and federal guidelines.
? Manage the recruitment process including job posting correspondence with outside recruiter & web-based recruiter services, and all on-site interviewing activities
? Develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, professional associations and other organizations to find and attract applicants.
? Screen, evaluate, and conduct reference checks on candidates & process requests for employment verifications
? Prepare all employee transition correspondence including offer & termination activity.
? Coordinate new hire set-up and termination processes with Facilities, Information Services, and PayrollConduct employee orientation to seamlessly transition new employees into the company as well as inform them of company benefits programs.
? Coordinate the employee evaluation process and ensure that all employees are interviewed on a timely basis.
? Serve as the first contact to handle employee relations including all employee issues and concerns.Compiles personnel statistics and provides information to employees on matters pertaining to personnel forms and records.Administer employee benefit programs and handles open enrollment processReviews the employee benefit reporting to ensure the proper control of carrier billing Maintain the compensation levels for all position descriptions
? Work with company managers with their requests to provide the training services
? Handle the human resources requirements of multi-site employees and managers
? Ensures that the company is complying with all internal & external (including governmental agencies) requirements, laws & regulations.
? Additional administrative & human resources activities as necessary
Qualifications:
? Two years + years experience with human resources, employee benefits, or related experience
? Bachelor of Science with human resources and/or business training.
? High tech experience helpful.
? Proficiency in MS Office required.
? Strong attention to detail & strong organization skills
? Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization including Senior Management.
? Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment, tact and diplomacy in all communications. Experience maintaining confidentiality of assignments due to the exposure to sensitive information and contacts
