Analyst II - Defined Benefit - Mercer HR Services US

An Analyst II provides retirement, health and group benefits information to plan participants, interprets plans and related legislation, and serves as a technical resource to the client and client services administrators. To fulfill this role, the analyst will: Perform and review pension calculations Review team's correspondence During these reviews look for and document any potential problem patterns Assist Team Leader and Outsourcing Client Manager (OCM) in making sure metrics are met Respond to technical pension questions from plan sponsors and plan participants - in person, in writing, and over the telephone Read and interpret plan documents and summary plan descriptions Interact with trustees Use in-house systems to ensure accuracy and consistent documentation.

BA/BS or equivalent industry experience; additional CEBS coursework preferred Two to five years' experience in an analytical role dealing with pension plans and related calculations Prior experience in benefit program administration or actuarial experience preferred Proficiency with Excel, MS Word, and Lotus for Windows Strong attention to detail Strong teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
