Area Human Resources (HR) Director

KPMG LLP provides audit, tax and advisory services to a broad range of clients. KPMG??s commitment to its clients is demonstrated in our client service delivery approach with cross-functional teams that extend across industry segments. We are currently seeking an Area Human Resources (HR) Director to join us in our Dallas office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Area HR Director reports directly to the Executive Director ?V Human Capital Management (HCM) and directs a team of HR generalists and recruiters who will partner with the Audit, Advisory and Tax leadership, along with other Client Service Support (CSS) and National Service Support (NSS) leadership in establishing appropriate programs for the Southwest area and helping ensure participation in firmwide HR initiatives and programs.

?{Drive a variety of HR initiatives for the Southwest region including employee relations, rewards and recognition, staffing, performance and career management, organizational development and training, with responsibility for directing specific projects and programs, for investigating and analyzing complex problems encountered in the operations of assigned process or locations
?{Collaborate in analyzing, developing, and implementing initiatives to drive cultural change providing substantive support for the firm??s Work Environment Initiative
?{Help to ensure the full compliance of the firm??s performance management process, provide counsel to management on how to effectively link business planning to goal setting
?{Provide counsel and guidance on salary issues related to internal promotions, new hire compensation, and market/equity adjustments
?{Leverage the exit survey process (Web based surveys and exit interviews) and related turnover data to identify and address retention issues
?{Manage the Salary Review process to help ensure salary and incentive compensation guidelines are followed

QUALIFICATIONS:

?{Ten years of progressive HR management experience
?{Bachelor??s or Master??s degree, in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or Business Administration from an accredited college/university, or the equivalent work experience
?{PHR/SPHR certification
?{Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles; knowledge of HR related laws and regulations
?{The ability to build and maintain relationships with Partners and employees of the firm
?{Able to develop clear and concise written communications and prepare performance documentation
?{Strong background in Employee Relations; experience managing HR functions; problem solving skills; ability to effectively negotiate with and influence clients; platform and facilitation skills
?{Knowledge of Peoplesoft and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft office applications
