PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for planning, administration and implementation of  policies and programs for the facility..  Requires broad HR generalist background and experience.
Employment, recruitment, selection and retention.
Responsible for EEO and AAP administration.
Company liaison for temporary and other recruiting and sourcing agencies/contracts.
Evaluate exit interview and absenteeism data and recommend policy and procedural changes to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
Plan and coordinate new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Coordinate and conduct overall general training needs of employees.
Employee and labor relations communications.
Participate in the research and planning for labor negotiations with unions.
Assist with communication of new/revised Policy or Procedural matters to employees.
Provide advice and counsel to employee and other managers on various employee relations issues.
Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as canteen, uniforms or relocation services.
Benefits coordination and administration.
Wage and salary administration.
Coordinate and process job bid award system.

Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university. Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of human resources and employment practices (selection, interviewing, job evaluations, contract administrations, basic labor and employment law,etc.) normally acquired with a minimum of 1 to 3 years experience. Experience in handling union grievances and employee relations. Familiarity with human resources function in a manufacturing environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
