No. 2 producer of frozen desserts in the United States. ??Position Overview: ?Sara Lee is seeking a growth oriented Assistant HR Manager to support our 800 employee non-union manufacturing facility in Zeeland, MI. We will depend on you to manage all human resources functions including, recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, employee relations, regulatory and legal compliance and training and development. ?Position Accountabilities: ?Utilize your prior recruitment experience in providing a qualified pool of talent, reflective of market demographics, to support the plants Affirmative Action goals, and business growth.? Recruit for all plant exempt and non-exempt positions and manage job posting process, ensuring appropriate paperwork trail for all positions. ?Conduct exit interviews, and manage to satisfactory levels of turnover to maintain a competitive workforce. Manage maintenance of all necessary personnel records including employee personnel files, department records, benefits administration, EEO/AA logs, etc. ?Observe plant compensation to ensure equity and consistency with company guidelines, and recommends adjustments when appropriate. Execute market surveys to ensure market competitiveness. ?Oversee the administration of all employee benefit programs and hold annual Open Enrollment meetings with workforce. Administer annual plant bonuses and merit increases. ?Monitor compliance with government regulations regarding equal opportunity/affirmative action, ADA and FMLA and play integral role in development and implementation of the plant's Affirmative Action Plan. ?Positively creates ongoing strategic partnerships, and is sought out by management for advice and solutions to emerging, complex issues. Convey critical expertise to the HR function, which is aligned with and positively impacts the business. ?Play active role in employee relations counseling and problem solving for managers and employees to ensure a productive work environment, consistent with company values, and in adherence to state and federal regulatory law. ?As Assistant HR Manger serve as primary contact for employees and managers to answer inquiries and provide general employee information including: compensation, benefits, attendance, performance reviews/evaluations and terminations. ???Supervise all activities related to Service Awards, 100 Club, 25 Year Club, Attendance bonuses and others. ?



To qualify Sara Lee requires 4+ years of progressive Human Resource Generalist experience, preferablyin a manufacturing environment. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required and PHR/SPHR certification is a plus. ?
