SoftSheen-Carson, the ethnic hair care division of L'Oreal USA, is currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant to provide dedicated human resources service to the division and administrative support to the department.

Human Resources responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Respond to employee questions and concerns regarding benefits and payroll in a timely manner.
- Maintain HRIS system including entry of all employee data changes.
- Run HRIS reports as necessary.
- Maintain personnel and HR files.
- Assist with recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate logistics (including travel), posting positions/entering job requisitions, generating response letters and maintaining various reports (Open Positions, Applicant Flow Log).
- Generate new hire packets, orientation kits and maintain HR forms.
- Assist in new hire and termination process.
- Assist with logistics of in-house training programs.
- Maintain and distribute divisional org charts and experience charts.
- Assist in various projects as necessary (i.e. Bring Your Child To Work Day, Salary Exercise)

Administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answer telephones, schedule meetings, prepare expense reports and arrange travel on behalf of AVP, Human Resources.
- Process invoices, order supplies, and provide general administrative support (copies, faxes, etc.) to department.
- Maintain various filing systems.

- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of basic human resources policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Sense of urgency and timely response to various employee, department and corporate requests is essential, while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment requiring strong organizational, multitasking and follow-through skills.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Strong MS Office computer skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with HRIS systems (Peoplesoft preferred)
