BENEFITS & COMPENSATION MANAGER

RIVIANA FOODS INC., the volume leader in the $1 billion U.S. retail rice category and largest supplier of branded and private label rice products in the U.S. is currently accepting applications for a BENEFITS/COMPENSATION MANAGER to join their team in Houston, TX.

 

RESPONSIBILITIESDirect and oversee the compensation, benefits and HRIS services and strategies delivered to Riviana Foods Inc., employees.  Provide management, organization and leadership support for employees engaged in delivering these services.  Develop, implement and manage the benefit programs including medical, dental, life, disability, flex accounts, FMLA, COBRA, and retirement programs.  Ensure the organization maintains an externally competitive position and programs that are internally equitable.

 

Consideration will only be given to candidates who  meet the following requirements:

 

REQUIREMENTSB.S. in Business or Human Resource Management7-10 years experience in compensation and benefits supporting 1000 employees from multiple locations2+ years HRIS Experience (A/S 400 a plus)5+ years supervisory/management experienceExcellent communication skills both written and verbal Certification preferred: CCP, CBP, PHR, SPHRConsiderable knowledge of current trends and practices of human resource administrationThorough knowledge of employee classification, compensation and benefitsConsiderable knowledge of managerial principles, techniques and practicesBroad understanding of HRIS principles and operations
