Bilingual Human Resources Specialist
Vitality Foodservice, Inc., a leader in the beverage industry has an immediate opening for a Bilingual Human Resources Specialist located in West Chicago.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, provides clerical/administrative support to one or more functional areas of Human Resources, such as recruitment and staffing, personnel record keeping, worker?s compensation & liability claims reporting, equal opportunity/affirmative action, training, compensation and benefits.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Coordinate recruitment effort in the Chicago Plant & Midwest region business locations. Assist Human Resources Manager with all aspects of recruiting, through internet postings, employee referrals, agencies, etc.
? Prepare and distribute New Employee folders and benefit packets. Compile new hire files and obtain all appropriate information i.e. employment application, I-9, background check, drug screening, MVR?s and other necessary documentation.
? Investigates reports and maintains all workers? compensation liability claims and follows up in a timely manner.
? Conduct New Employee Orientation.
? Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations, report all new hires via intranet to State.
? Maintain employee personnel files regarding attendance, training, performance reviews or evaluations, etc. Purge personnel files according to retention policy or legal requirements.
? Provide employment verifications.
? Communicate and provide counseling on all HR policies/procedures inquiries.
? Maintains and updates HRIS and Koronos systems, records and compiles reports from database.
? Performs benefit administration on FMLA, to include claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees.
? Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
? Handles recruitment counseling to managers and exit interviewing.
? Administrative support for Chicago projects and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:
H.S. Diploma or equivalent. PHR certification preferred.
Experience:
2 years Human Resources experience required. Emphasis on recruiting or generalist type work strongly desired. Prior data entry or payroll experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
? Bilingual in Spanish a must.
? Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Competencies:
? Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
? Detail oriented
? Ability to multi-task and follow up.
