Benefits Manager
The Benefits Manager will oversee the strategic design and implementation of health, welfare and retirement benefits for our 1500+ employee company.
? Oversee the Benefits department in processing, coordinating and administering all benefits programs.
? Hire, manage and retain employees of the Benefits department, developing individuals and organization as appropriate.
? Lead the design & implementation, as well as long-term modification, of strategic planning of Benefits.
? Provide input to benefits philosophy, strategy, policy & plans and assist in renewal process.
? Maintain current understanding of all legislative changes to employee benefits and formulate/recommend policy positions.
? Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local filing and publication requirements for 5500?s, summary plan descriptions and other relevant documents.
? Act as content owner for Benefits section of intranet.
? Lead the development and management of programs for leave of absence and other medical programs, processes and policies.
? Lead the measurement of the effectiveness of benefits programs and solicit feedback from employees.
Desired Skills:
? Undergrad required. MBA preferred
? 7-10yrs of benefits experience
? Strong knowledge of ERISA, Benefits Law and regulations
? Understands best practices in benefits design and compliance.
? Experience with planning and managing vendor relationships
? Strong Project Management, prioritization skills.
? Strong analytical skills
? Ability to work under pressure
? Excellent written and verbal skills.
? Knowledge of HRIS (oracle) and ADP required
? CEBs a plus
