Corporate Benefits Manager, Human Resources Officer - New Position
POSITION PURPOSE: Directs the development, implementation and administration of employee retirement and welfare benefits for all Fiserv locations. Manages the benefits department who works closely with the Human Resources personnel of subsidiary companies.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports To: AVP - Director, Corporate Benefits/HRIS/Wellness
Primary Working Relationships:
Direct Reports: Benefits Consultant, Sr. Benefits Analyst, Sr. Benefits Administrator, Benefits Administrator (3), Associate Benefits Administrator
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for development, implementation, evaluation, and administration of the company's retirement plans including 401(k) Plans and Pension Plan (Frozen).
2. Responsible for development, implementation, evaluation, and administration of the company's welfare benefit programs, including Medical, Dental, Life, AD&D, STD, LTD and related benefits.
3. Serves on the Fiserv Health Committee who provides direction on design trends and recommends welfare plan changes. Effectively partners with the Health & Wellness, Finance and Fiserv Health management team in the development of broader health benefits strategies. Develops proposals to Fiserv Health Committee and upper management.
4. Responsible for the management, motivation and development of Benefits staff. Keep staff motivated and functioning as a high performance team delivering exceptional customer service to our clients (e.g. employees, global human resources staff).
5. Responsible for overall legal compliance of benefit plans to retain favorable tax status of the plans and to avoid financial penalties and potential lawsuits.
6.Ensures a cost effective and competitive employee benefits package. Monitors all benefit plan-related costs, coordinates plan audits. Manages all plan vendors for maximum value and effectiveness, recommends cost saving measures, manages the bidding process, reviews vendor quotes, and makes appropriate recommendations for implementation of plan changes. Participates in benefit surveys and analyzes results to determine Fiserv's competitive position.
7. Manages transition/maintenance of benefit plans acquired via merger/acquisition of companies by Fiserv. May include managing the transition to standard Fiserv benefit plans (including termination at appropriate transition date) and/or managing maintenance (e.g., reviewing renewal quotes, on-going compliance with all applicable regulations, etc.) of plans.
8. Reviews and approves the preparation and distribution of benefit-related employee communications (e.g., summary plan descriptions, annual enrollment materials), ensuring employees receive appropriate notification of benefit provisions and changes. Manages the development and maintenance Employee Handbook benefit sections.
9. Maintains and improves technical competency through continuing professional development.
10. Performs miscellaneous professional Human Resources functions as assigned.
11. Travel up to 35% in third quarter; up to 5% remainder of year
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or equivalent field required.
Masters Degree and/or CEBS certification preferred.
Job Related Experience: 8 -12 years experience in retirement and welfare benefits administration and 5 years benefit management experience.
Functional Area Skills/Knowledge:
? Ability to think and lead strategically, while also being detail-oriented to effectively analyze and evaluate plans
? Proficient in Microsoft Office, HR system software
? Familiarity with Six Sigma or other formalized process improvement methodology.
? Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
? Proven history of successful benefits implementations and communications.
? Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively influence the actions and decisions of managers, employees and vendors.
